I have no Politician or Interest Group endorsements. Here is why.
I am not asking for, nor giving, any endorsements for the upcoming election.
Endorsements are politicians doing favors for each other. “You helped me, now I’ll help you.” It’s a game politicians play to keep outsiders out.
I believe that this is bad for democracy - and creates political debts to the endorser. I’m not playing that game.
There are groups that have endorsed me, not because of what I promised them, but because of my stances. You can find them here:
You, the voter, should decide.
Just the fact that you are here, reading my website, means you care enough to do some research. So, THANK YOU!
Ultimately, yes I want you to vote for me. But not because someone told you to – I want you to do it because you think I’m the right candidate for the office.
I’ve had lots of people tell me they like what I say, and they’ll support me. I love that and appreciate them – but I’m not going to list their names here. That doesn’t matter.
What does matter: YOU sharing your support.
If YOU think I’m a good candidate, tell that to other people you know. That’s meaningful – because it comes from you, as your honest opinion, and not as a political favor.
It’s easy to do, just download the image below and share it on Social Media, or by email to people you know, or in any way you want.
I would prefer it of you introduce it with a heartfelt statement about why you support me, because YOUR endorsement is what matters to your people.
One last request: if you share it, please tag my Facebook or Instagram page (those links are below) - or at least use the hashtag #SanfordForCE.
